By parodying the hospital routine, the Clown Doctors help children feel less traumatised by medical procedures, help calm distressed children in emergency, and encourage children in physiotherapy. Oversized medical equipment, red nose transplants, cat scans, humour testing and funny bone examinations are all part of the fun.
Even bringing back the glimmer to a child’s eye can create a beautiful moment and is enough for the Clown Doctors to know they have made a difference.

Clown Doctors are a group of gifted and talented professional performers selected for their high level of skill, as a well as personal qualities such as sensitivity, intuition, caring and flexibility.
The unique roaming nature of our program means that Clown Doctors can bring smiles and laughter right to the bedside, reaching children who are bedridden and non-mobile.
Source Direct also supports the Cotton On Foundation.
The Cotton On Foundation, is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2007. The aim of the Foundation is to create positive and measurable change in the lives of people around the world by being directly involved with community partners to help them achieve self sustainability.
Projects that the Foundation is currently involved with include Rainbow Riders in Barwon Heads who provide equine assisted learning to disadvantaged kids and teens, the KIDS Foundation who promote injury prevention and recovery, the redevelopment of the Geelong Hospital Children's Ward, and the small Ugandan village of Mannya where the Foundation is assisting with construction, medical assistance, education and community sustainability.
