Fentimans is a new range of soft drinks and mixers that we are importing from England. They are botanically brewed with herbs and plant roots to maximise the range of magnificant flavours. The Ginger Beer in particular is probably the best Ginger Beer you have ever tasted but the other products (especially Curiosity Cola) are quickly generating rave reviews. Fentimans botanically brewed beverages are the original adult soft drinks. True to traditional recipes. A bit more expensive than ordinary soft drinks but worth it! Traditional Ginger Beer is all natural botanically brewed ginger beer with ginger as the number 1 ingredient; how refreshing! Curiosity Cola is a full bodied and curiously invigorating soft drink which revives the claims of yesteryear colas! Dandelion & Burdock. Full strength infusions of Dandelion and Burdock create the unmistakable aroma and distinctive palate of this definitive classic. Victorian Lemonade. All natural botanically brewed soft drink with one and a half lemons, ginger and herbal extracts in every bottle. Mandarin & Seville Orange Jigger. All natural with the juice of 3 mandarins and the zest of Seville orange. Full Bodied Shandy with 70% traditionally brewed beer and real lemonade to give maximum refreshment without undue fizz!
Botanical Brewing
Botanical Brewing is a simple process involving herbs and plant roots.
The original recipe saw us take ginger roots, mill them before tumbling them into copper steam jacketed pans and leaving to bubble and simmer, releasing all their flavour. Adding finest herbs, natural flavouring, sugar, brewer's yeast and fresh spring water the liquid was transferred to wooden vats where it was left to ferment.
The liquid went on fermenting as it was bottled and corked in the old stone "Grey Hens" - where it would fully mature and be ready to drink by the end of the week.
Today our processes have been updated through the addition of mild carbonation to replace the carbon dioxide lost in pasteurisation, which gives the product a longer life and keeps the level of alcohol to no more than 0.5%

"A Week Is A Long Time In Politics" - and even longer in making superior soft drinks, as we cram over 90 years experience in to each fermentation of our botanically brewed beverages - which took up to seven days from start to finish.
In every Fentiman product you will see a fine sediment on the base of the bottle; this is the result of the time honoured process of botanically brewed beverages, which ensures that all the flavour and goodness extracted from the raw materials ends up in the bottle!
The sediment is the reason why our drinks deliver a fuller more invigorating taste, and makes them sedimentally better!
Origins of Fentimans

In 1900 Thomas Fentiman was approached by a fellow tradesman for a loan - a deal was struck, as in those times an Englishman's word was his bond. All that was required was a hand-shake and some security - in this case a recipe for botanically brewed ginger beer.
The loan was never repaid, and so Thomas Fentiman became the owner of a unique and rather original recipe for success.

Our logo has stood the test of time and we believe it to be testament to the fact that, 'You can't teach an old dog new tricks', when it comes to producing superior refreshment!
